I’m running for House District 6 because I believe in the strength of Montana’s communities and the values that hold us together. Public service is not about politics—it’s about people. From my time as a School Board Trustee to my work on campaigns, I’ve seen firsthand how effective leadership can improve lives, and I’m ready to take that experience to the legislature.

Our State faces real challenges, but also incredible opportunities. I’m committed to supporting ranching and agriculture, protecting our Second Amendment rights, advancing responsible logging and mining, and standing firmly with the Republican platform to ensure our state remains strong and free.

Most importantly, I will listen. I will bring transparency, accountability, and a spirit of collaboration to Helena—always putting the needs of our community first. Together, we can build a future that honors Montana’s traditions while creating new opportunities for the next generation.

Jim is a firm defender of the 2nd Amendment and believes the right to bear arms “shall not be infringed.” He opposes gun registries, government overreach, and “gun-free zones” that disarm law-abiding citizens. His commitment extends beyond firearms to safeguarding all liberties—ensuring government remains accountable to the people, not the other way around

Government should work for the people, not itself.
Jim believes in limited government that funds only what is necessary and rejects unfunded federal mandates. With Montana’s budget surpluses, his priority is simple: return the money to the people. He supports revenue-sharing with local governments to ease tax burdens and opposes runaway spending or new taxes that hurt working families.
Securing Our Borders & Rule of Law

UPHOLDING LEGAL IMMIGRATION & ENFORCING THE LAW.
Respect for law and sovereignty keeps Montana strong.
Jim stands firmly against illegal immigration and the relocation of unvetted refugees to Montana. He supports securing the border, enforcing visa laws, and penalizing employers who hire illegal workers. Montana must protect its communities, honor the rule of law, and ensure resources are reserved for legal residents
